Home Performance Crew Member I:
Hometown Green of Media and Chester PA is looking to add to our Home Performance Contracting Team. The team consists of an energy auditor, a crew leader, & crew members, some of whom are trained and certified personnel.
The goal of our work is to reduce non-renewable energy use, carbon footprint, and utility bills in homes. This is NOT weatherization. We make homes more comfortable, livable, planet friendly, and energy efficient, through insulating, air-sealing, ducting, ventilating, & exterior drainage work. Crews install windows, doors, solar attic fans, hatch units, solar heating, solar hot water, solar PV, solar pool heating.
Field duties for the HP crew member include clocking in on time, understanding the methods chosen to enhance performance, and understanding the scope of the job as communicated by the auditor through a building prescription document. Crew members will at times deal with homeowners, though they will spend most of their time safely participating in the crew’s performance work. Our field work is physical outside work and/or work in basements and attics and may have an office, and vehicle and equipment care components. Office duties may include work with internet, Excel and MS Word. Driving duties and vehicle maintenance duties may be assigned.
Requirements:

Compensation:
Starting Salary $12.29 per hour for the first 45 days DOE and $12.29 base salary is paid from 45 days until 90 day review. Reviews come at 90 days, 6 mos, and one year. Full time positions (37.5 hours or more) come with employee shared health care and dental, and a paid time off plan which includes, personal, sick, and vacation days. Salary Range for this position after 90 days is $12.29 to $18.70 per hour.
